The Extension is designed to operate locally on your device and minimizes data collection. When you actively choose to bookmark a page, we access the following information:

• Active Tab Data: The Extension requests the activeTab permission. When you click an emoji to save a bookmark, the Extension captures the current page's URL, title, and favicon (website icon).
• User Preferences: The Extension records your preferred user interface theme (light or dark mode).

2. How We Use Your Information

The data accessed by the Extension is strictly used to provide its core functionality:

• To organize and display your saved web pages within the designated emoji categories in the extension's popup and side panel.
• To prevent duplicate bookmarks by checking if a URL has already been saved.
• To apply your chosen visual theme across the extension's views.

3. Data Storage and Security

• Local Storage Only: All data collected by the Extension (including bookmarks, URLs, titles, favicons, and theme preferences) is stored entirely locally on your device using the Chrome Local Storage API (chrome.storage.local).
• No Cloud Syncing or External Servers: The Extension does not transmit, upload, or sync your browsing data, bookmarks, or personal information to any external servers, databases, or third-party services.

4. Third-Party Access and Sharing

Because all data remains locally on your device, we do not share, sell, rent, or distribute your data to any third parties, advertisers, or analytics companies.

5. Your Control Over Your Data

You have complete control over your data:

• Deletion: You can delete individual bookmarks directly from the extension's side panel. Deleting a bookmark removes its URL and title entirely from your local storage.
• Complete Removal: Uninstalling the Sortmoji extension from your Chrome browser will permanently delete all saved bookmarks and data associated with the Extension from your device.
